The story begins with the lead cast Piper Chapman who lives in New York City is sentenced to 15 months in the federal prison in upstate New York. Chapman was indicted for moving a bag loaded with drug cash for her sweetheart Alex Vause , a drug dealing.
The offense has happened 10 years before the beginning of the series and in that time Chapman has continued forward to a calm, reputable life among New York's upper-working class. Her abrupt and sudden arraignment upsets her associations with her life partner, family, and companions. In jail, Chapman is brought together with Vause (who named Chapman in her preliminary, bringing about Chapman's capture), and they rethink their relationship.
At the same time, Chapman, alongside different detainees, endeavors to wrestle with the jail's various, intrinsic battles. The season 8 plot is expected to focus on Piper Chapman who was accused to have been involved in a drug case for his girlfriend, 10 years after the present time in the series and gets sentenced for fifteen months. The story depicts the various incidents of Piper Chapman's character and the other women in prison. In the fifth and sixth season, the series shows instances and happenings inside of the prison.

Thankfully, Natasha Lyonne continues to make a name for herself. It loops in stories of different women inside the prison, coming from different race, socio-economic class, and ethnicities. Each woman carries a unique story of hers, as important as the protagonists. This makes the whole cast of 'Orange Is the New Black' equally significant.

It characterizes the prisoner and the study of gender, race, etc. The truth becomes an inconvenience, something to be shrugged off and compartmentalized. It's far easier, then, just to put a Band-Aid on matters, to drag out a nun (Beth Fowler's Sister Jane Ingalls) to make a pre-scripted statement. Caputo sees himself as a savior of these women, but he chooses ultimately to perpetuate the broken system that surrounds them. The prison officials are, in actuality, also just as trapped — by red tape, by bureaucracy, by personal desire, by anger issues — as the inmates. These three or four arcs are probably the most compelling, amidst the rest of the stories that were incomplete going into the season and remain immature coming out of it.
Piper, the main character, inhabits an arc that begins ridiculous , gets interesting (she gets furlough to attend her grandma's funeral) and finishes flat . Officer Bennett, who knocked up inmate Daya Diaz and then framed the sacked Officer "Pornstache" Mendez for it, all share a plotline that goes nowhere. Mendez is even brought back for almost no reason, only to be fired again and arrested at the end of the episode.
Sophia Burset, played by the amazing Laverne Cox, also becomes disappointingly boring, and mostly only appears to deliver smarmy one-liners. Soso, the only other new recurring character besides Vee, is just plain annoying, and seemingly added in only so there would be a prominent Asian character on the show. You can watch the series Orange Is the New Black on the OTT platform Netflix if you have a subscription for that. If the eighth season of the series Orange Is the New Black announces, all episodes of the series Orange Is the New Black Season 8 will be released on the same day of the release like previous seasons. Sadly, the Season 7 of Orange Is The New Black seems to be show's final season. Following 91 hit episodes, the show was bided farewell in Season 7, along with the show runners stating that this was the conclusion of the series.
Jenji Kohan had plans to conclude the show just after its seventh season, when Season 5 of the series was still broadcasting. It was already decided that the show would not be repeated for the next season. Till now it had a total of 7 seasons and 91 episodes and it was a very popular series and the storyline was also brilliant. But the wait is over and the creator has decided to make another season for the sake of the fans as they love this series very much.
The series Orange is the new Black Season 8 will be released on 23rd July 2021. It will be available on Netflix with a total of 13 episodes. Cox, for her part, was grateful for the authentic representation of life as a trans woman. Her character, Sophia Burset, ends the series by being released from prison and following her dreams of becoming a hairstylist. Orange continued its strong tradition of being both heartbreaking and hilarious. And as Piper grew more weary of her surroundings, we grew more accustomed to prison-life as viewers. And more readily willing to learn the stories of every inmate, no matter how obscure they may have once seemed. I do worry a bit about the show becoming too precious with who it considers to be its core cast, but then again, this isn't supermax. And I applaud many of its choices, both in character and format. The first two episodes alone are surprising in their focus.
And, of course, it remains infinitely quotable, with enough witticisms, both insightful and shallow, to meet any guard's shot quota. It also focuses on the mental ability of the women in the prison.

However, season 5 references the San Bernarndino shootings, which occurred in 2015. This cannot be possible as Piper's prison sentence was for 15 months and only about a year has passed in those five seasons. Tour the Litchfield prison set with Production Designer Michael Shaw and former inmate, author, and inspiration for the hit television series, Piper Kerman. Goméz talks the Netflix series' final season, bringing immigrant stories to TV, and much more. However, drug problems and bed bugs might be the least of Caputo's worries if Litchfield really does shut down. He gets the bad news in episode 2 and submits to the inevitable, but when his guards catch wind of the issue and start pressing him for information, he decides to make a desperate play to keep things running.
He calls Fig and she surprises him with a business plan. Turns out, a prison corporation was interested in acquiring Litchfield a while back. However, even if the company does save the day, I'd be surprised if the writers brought Fig back just for a single episode. As she teases at the end of "Empathy is a Boner Killer," I'd like to bet there's a lot of questionable tactics she could teach Caputo to ensure Litchfield stays firmly afloat.
Meanwhile, Piper continues to play cute and innocent with Alex, but when the guilt sets in, Piper comes clean and admits that she sold her out. As one might expect, Alex is absolutely furious and their relationship seems irreparable, but then in an unexpected and unearned twist, Alex reconnects with Piper via hate sex. The drama class role play, however, is a bit more my speed. It balances the palpable hostility with humor and heart, making the scene wildly entertaining, but also ensuring that the moment really means something, too.
That said, I love being able to record a show or access it on demand if I can't watch it when it first airs. But as Netflix continues to ramp up their original series, the idea of streaming episode after episode of a half-dozen shows begins to feel less like entertainment, and more like homework. So inmates like Lorna, Gloria, Miss Rosa, and Sister Jane got to have their stories told, but the the stories that got told first were those of Taystee, Crazy Eyes, Poussey, and Cindy. And so the second biggest element to Season 2 involved the transformation of the black inmates into a somewhat diabolical crew. And with this story came the season's biggest dose of heartache and triumph, as one member of this group had to watch all her friends morph into unrecognizable thugs.
As with the first season, all 13 episodes of the prison drama will be available on the streaming service at once. Season 2 can be seen as being structured around the war between Red and Vee, the two women acting as poles between which much of the action occurs. She went from being a meth addict to a religious woman when she entered prison. Throughout the show's five seasons, Nicky struggled with drug use but is finally clean. A lot of pressure is put on her on the final season as she tries to maintain friendships with Red and Lorna. On the show's final season, they struggle to maintain their relationship with Piper outside of prison.
And with its cancellation seemingly a mutual agreement between its creator and its streaming home, OITNB has been giving the golden opportunity to finish on its own terms. The writers of the series also took minor character's stories to new heights. Rosa, who for most of the first season was just an old fat background character, is revealed to have lived an insane life of crime and tragedy.
Sister Ingalls was actually a hippie nun before being arrested for trespassing on a nuclear plant. Lorna Morello's husband-in-waiting actually has a restraining order against her, and their romance is an artifice of her own mental disorders. Sorry for the run-on there, but that one might be the best of all of them.
The first season of Netflix series "Orange is the New Black" was something like a proof of concept that worked almost too well. A cast of insanely diverse characters of multitudes never seen before on television, to my knowledge, paired with a quick-witted script that often toed the line between knee-slapper and tear-jerker several times within the same episode. It was a lowish-budget gamble that, along with "House of Cards," put Netflix on top of the television game, and it wasn't even broadcast on a network. "OITNB" was the televised revolution that the TV Renaissance seemingly had been leading up to.
Each woman has their own community and revolves around the protagonist which makes the cast and story look intriguing and captivating. The series also focuses on the mental ability of the women in jail. Orange is the New Black is all set to premiere on the 23rd of July 2021. The series eight season will be available to stream on Netflix.
